Santa Margarita wrestlers shine at Masters

Congratulations to our very own Rat Pack Team members Jared Frier, Camron Carlburg and Damon Couch for placing in the tough Southern Section Master Wrestling Tournament. All 3 wrestlers qualify to CIF California State Wrestling Championships. Great Job guys and good luck.

With CIF finals wrapping up, we are so excited to see such an improvement from our Rat Pack wrestlers.  Placing in their CIF Tournament are Epstien 119 lbs, Alvarado  103 lbs, Frier 103 lbs, Jamie 125lbs, Carlburg 125 and Couch 152 lbs. By placing top 5 in their CIF’s these Rat Pack wrestlers have all qualified for the Masters Meet Tournament!  AWESOME wrestling guys!

Lovey Named OC Varsity Wrestler of the Week

Congratulations to Rat Pack Wrestler Damon “Lovey” Couch,  for being selected as OC Varsity Wrestler of the Week.

                                              MVP at Asics So Cal Tournament.

Couch (152) defeated Daniel Threlkeld of Vista, 9-2 in the finals at the Raul Huerta Memorial Tournament at Canyon Springs High Saturday. Couch, ranked second in the county, recorded victories by technical fall, fall and decision on the way to the finals.


Epstein & Evans Finalist at Troy Warrior Classic

Congratulations to our very own Rat Pack Team members Max Epstein and Brandon Evans. They both took second at the Troy Warrior Classic.
Peter Ishiguro earned Bronze, while the wonder twins Brandon Chase and Trever Stevens continued to follow each other match for match finishing in 4th place

Epstein, Ishiguro, Evans Pound Into Finals at Rosemead

Once again, Peter Ishiguro and Brandon Evans reached the finals. Max Epstein, the defending Rosemead tournament champion at his weight class, also reached the finals. All three wrestlers finished just off their best and took home silver medals. Also placing in the tournament were Rat Pack wrestlers Brandon Chase (5th), Trevor Stevens (5th), Christian Seedorf (4th), and Everett Harper (7th).

Ishiguro and Evans Reach Finals at Irvine Andrew Pena Classic

At 125 lbs. Peter Ishiguro rolled through the competition en route to a gold medal. At 171 lbs. Brandon Evans tore up his first 3 opponnents (18-3, 18-2, and 4:36 pin), before falling to a top ranked returning CIF placer from Simi Valley in the championship
